Migrating the current SQL Server database to PostgreSQL, so we can use more open source tools-Migrate functionality off the legacy ASP.NET admin application to Django admin.-New functionality on the website for managing data and information-Upgrade and create background processes that exchange data with external services-Integrate with a new email providerThis is just a sampling of the types of projects on the roadmap--there are many more!
Minimum Requirements-Experience maintaining production systems: do you know how to debug when systems go down?-Solid knowledge of relational databases: can you write SQL by hand, create normalized database tables, and improve query performance?-Python: at least 3 years coding primarily in Python-Software engineering: you have at least 5 years coding in general-Jobs: You've worked on at least 3 different teams, products, or companies-Django: You need to know how to work with Django beyond just the tutorial level-HTML/CSS/JS: Vanilla flavors of all of these.
You don't need to be a magician, but more experience is best.
