Responsibilities:

The primary function of this role is to work closely with Operations personnel to achieve optimization, regulatory, and project objectives. The ideal candidate has the ability to connect theoretical calculations with actual operations processes.

Performs a multitude of process related duties to ensure processing plants and equipment are operating efficiently, effectively, and products are within spec (maximize NOI). These duties include process modeling, plant troubleshooting, identification of OPEX and CAPEX projects, and Operations support.

 •  Process Optimization
 •  Lead asset optimization teams for assigned area
 •  Research and develop potential projects including high level soping, estimating, and project economics
 •  Develop tools such as dashboards and metrics to assist asset owners in determining loss profit/gain profit opportunities
 •  Coordinate field studies and implement improvements
 •  Perform model simulations based on set conditions to predict outcomes and determine performance
 •  Develop computer models to support Commercial requests, Operations troubleshooting, and asset optimization
 •  Explain discrepancies between theoretical and actual performance and provide guidance for closing gaps
 •  Maintain, update, and calibrate process models to ensure accurate representations of equipment and processes
 •  Maintain a global view and ensure plants are meeting outlet specifications
 •  Assist Asset Engineer with the review of process designs and projects plans as well as modeling needs; Troubleshoot specific issues and identify potential remediation steps
 •  Routine report generation and data analysis

Location: #Dallas or #Houston or #Midland

Qualifications:

 •  Bachelor’s degree in engineering, required
 •  Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with Operations personnel
 •  7+ years of industry experience in midstream, refinery, or petrochemical
 •  Significant experience with process modeling (Promax preferred)
 •  Preferred experience in natural gas cryogenic plants, natural gas liquids fractionation, amine sweetening, compressors, pumps, dehydration units, and pipeline hydraulics
 •  Experience in CO2 compression, dehydration, and pipeline operations a plus, but not required
 •  10-15% Travel Required
