Sr. Accountant
A successful Robert Half client is seeking a Senior Accountant ready to be grown into the Accounting Manager role and to bring your Real Estate Accounting knowledge and expertise to a growing company in the Real Estate & Property industry in the San Mateo, California area.
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting.

This Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Real Estate & Property field.
What you get to do every day
• Month end close, F/S preparation, journal entries ect. for a Multifamily Real Estate portfolio
• Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
• Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
• Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
• Partake in various department-wide initiatives
• Provide monthly P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
• Foundational knowledge in Real Estate Accounting
• Monthly Financial Statements experience
• Prepare Financial Statements experience
• Microsoft Excel experience
• General ledger experience
• Be detailed, flexible, and organized
• Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
• Experience with ERP systems
• Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
• Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
• BA/BS degree
