Overview:
In anticipation of a contract award, Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a SAP Data Management Conversion Lead to support a Federal Client. The SAP Data Management Conversion Lead will lead the data portion of the SAP ERP implementation and the development of the standard data conversion processes for the divisional deployments.
This person will create the overall data conversion strategy to streamline and scale the activities required to extract, transform, load, and cleanse the data as it moves from a legacy ERP environment into an SAP S/4 HANA solution. The manager will be responsible for designing and developing the data structure, selecting the tools required, and structuring and organizing the team to create a data conversion process that can support a large deployment of SAP S/4 HANA.
(USDA or FDA experience is preferred).
What You'll Do:
• Project Planning: Developing and managing the overall project plan for data conversion activities, including timelines, resources, and milestones.
• Data Mapping: Working with business users and technical teams to map data from legacy systems to the new SAP system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Data Extraction and Transformation: Overseeing the extraction of data from legacy systems, and ensuring it is transformed and loaded into the new SAP system according to business requirements.
• Data Cleansing and Validation: Managing the process of cleaning and validating data to ensure it meets quality standards and is compatible with the new SAP system.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Planning and executing testing activities to validate the accuracy and integrity of converted data, and ensuring it meets business requirements.
• Change Management: Developing and implementing change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new data management processes and systems.
• Training and Documentation: Providing training to end users on new data management processes and systems, and creating documentation to support training and ongoing use.
• Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with data conversion activities, such as data loss or inaccuracies.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicating with project stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and management, to provide updates on data conversion progress and address any issues or concerns.
• Post-Conversion Support: Providing support and troubleshooting assistance to users after data conversion, and ensuring data management processes continue to meet business requirements.
• Must successfully complete a Background Investigation (Green Card Holder or U.S. Citizenship is a requirement).
Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree
• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated expertise analyzing data, preparing/cleansing data and executing data conversions from disparate applications into SAP Modules, including SAP Grantor, CRM, ECC, and S/4HANA.
• Direct experience that demonstrates the ability to lead complex technology data conversions that involve difficult integrations across multiple diverse technologies, multiple stakeholder agencies, business and technical units.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to present complex materials to a diverse stakeholder community.
• Demonstrated experience working well in a team environment, mentoring less experienced team members.
• A minimum SAFe 6 Agile Product Management Certification, although advanced certifications are preferred.
Abilities:
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance (Green Card Holder or U.S. Citizenship is a requirement).
Nice to Haves:
• ITIL certification
