Physical Security Access Control Specialist

Overview:

This position has the responsibility to guard, secure and control access to all Critical Facilities. Oversees the monitoring of Critical Facilities CCTV cameras and responds to alarm alerts. Provides weekly access control log to Physical Security Management.
Directs all incoming phone calls to appropriate personnel. Acts as a point of contact for the safety warden to assist in the evacuation of the Critical Facility in the event of an emergency. In addition, responds to all email alarm alerts throughout the branch and campus network and escalates to the appropriate party.

Responsibilities:

  1.  Responsible to comprehend and utilize CCTV Systems Avigilon and March Networks Software
  1.  Responsible to maintain a diligent awareness of Critical Facility surroundings to promote physical security and safety; watches for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
  1.  Monitors departing personnel and contractors to protect against theft of company property
  1.  Monitors all property entrances and secures all exit doors
  1.  Supervises premise regularly by monitoring the Avigilon CCTV camera systems
  1.  Assigned to monitor for unauthorized vehicles, trespassers, or unidentified individuals
  2.  Conducts scheduled foot patrols throughout the Ogden Data Center Building and grounds
  1.  Controls and monitors Building access to all Critical Facilities
  1.  Responsible to comprehend and utilize Software House CCure Access Control System
  1.  Greets and retrieves information from visitors, vendors, and contractors to all Critical Facilities.
  1.  Enforces all AFCU policies and procedures regarding building access
  1.  Coordinates with facility personnel to assist scheduled visitors, vendors, and contractors to be escorted to the appropriate area
  1.  Manages all returned temporary visitor and contractor badges and validates building access has been updated in the access control software.
  1.  Coordinates through Software House CCure Access Control System the opening and unlocking of specific doors and gates when requested by the appropriate personnel.
  1.  Monitors the access control system for any badges that are rejected and compiles a daily list to be reviewed by a Physical Security Officer
  1.  Assists Physical Security Officers
  1.  Supports Physical Security officers in removing building access clearances and disabling former employees’ records. All-access records must be updated through the Software House CCure Building Access Control system.
  1.  Responsible to comprehends and utilize the Bosch RPS Campus and Branch Alarm System Software
  1.  Certifies that all campus buildings and branch Bosch RPS alarm systems are set according to the appropriate schedules
  1.  Supports Physical Security Officers by adding and removing access clearances of employees that are transferring to a new location. All-access records must be updated through the Software House CCure Building Access Control and Bosch RPS Alarm System
  1.  Assists the campus and branch after-hours alarm responders by providing them with still shots from the March Networks and Avigilon CCTV camera systems and helps them to identify the cause of the alarm
  1.  Performs other physical security-related duties as assigned.
  1.  Maintains Accurate Records within the Physical Security Department
  1.  Maintains a daily record of activities and duties for weekly and monthly Physical Security Department review.
  1.  Maintains a log of identifying information from visitors, vendors, contractors, and employees who have lost their employee ID
  1.  Maintains and distributes current records of all employees working at the site for evacuation purposes.
  1.  Maintains a schedule and calendar for facility contractors and updates it accordingly.
  1.  Accurately fills out detailed incident reports and promptly delivers them to the Physical Security Department
  1.  Assists in Emergency Situations and Evacuation Drills
  1.  Is able to interpret Fire Alarm Signals provided by Mountain Alarm Monitoring Station.
  1.  Assists in Fire Drills and participates in Fire Drill meetings.
  1.  Contacts emergency personnel and police dispatch in emergencies.
  1.  Guides employees to safety rally points.
  1.  Assists Critical Facilities Employees and Campus Facilities Department
  1.  Assist Critical Facility Employees with the distribution of daily mail correspondence
  1.  Answers and directs phone calls for Critical Facility employees.
  1.  Assigns temporary badges to employees who have lost or forgotten their badges.
  1.  Informs Critical Facility employees of the building, security, and safety-related concerns via e-mail.
  1.  Performs other duties as assigned.
  1.  Directs emergency personnel and provides relevant information regarding Critical Facilities.

Qualifications:

Training/Education/Certification:

 •  High school graduate or equivalent.

Required Knowledge:

 •  Experience in various Physical Security Systems (CCTV, Access Control, Alarm Systems and Fire Systems)
 •  Experience with Critical Facility-Data Center security operations and procedures
 •  Must have the ability to work with computer systems, monitor and understand displays, and make updates or modifications to safety systems.
 •  Good general typing skills, 23-30 WPM minimum.
 •  Knowledgeable in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word or equivalent software front end control packages

Experience Required:

  1.  2 years of related experience is desired.
