About the Role

LifeMD is looking for a passionate, self-starter with strong technical accounting aptitude to join our rapidly growing company as Payroll Associate. The position reports directly to the Payroll Manager. The Payroll Associate will assist in the oversight and data entry for the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with all government regulations.

Responsibilities
 •  The Payroll associate’s primary role is to maintain, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including new hires, terms, salaries, hourly wages/timecards , benefits, garnishments, taxes, other deductions, and direct deposits
 •  Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
 •  Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws
 •  Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
 •  Manages expense reporting system (Concur)
 •  Responds to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions and accruals, wage garnishments, and preparation of off cycle pay
 •  Assists in the preparation of journal entries and month-end reports
 •  Oversees tax compliance by payroll provider and provides resolution of routine tax notices and changes to tax requirements
 •  Reconciles all payroll-related accounts and activities

Requirements
 •  Knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, reconciliation, internal controls (SOX), vacation policies, and payroll taxes
 •  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
 •  Proficient with payroll software and expense report software, Paycom HRIS experience is a plus
 •  knowledge of accounting principles
 •  Ability to follow instructions for multiple projects with competing priorities
 •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
 •  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
 •  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred
 •  Two to three years of related experience required
