Job Description
 •  Identify and implement optimal solutions through thorough project screening.
 •  Manage the fabrication and installation of new projects and facility upgrades.
 •  Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including cost and economic studies.
 •  Design chemical processes with a focus on operability, reliability, and safety compliance.
 •  Initiate projects by preparing capital appropriation requests and monitor process equipment inventory.
 •  Collaborate closely with the Maintenance department to ensure ongoing equipment maintenance and upgrades.

Skills/Qualifications:

 •  Minimum Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering with expertise in programming logic, reactor chemistry, and electrical systems.
 •  Hands-on experience-5+ years-in manufacturing processes/equipment within an industrial or research setting.

Core Chemical Engineering:

 •  Reaction chemistry/thermodynamics
 •  Distillation
 •  Process Design
 •  Process Optimization
 •  Process Safety - safety valves, rupture discs, safety-in-design, etc.
 •  Materials selection
 •  Boiler and cooling tower chemistry

Controls/Electrical Engineering:

 •  Designing control logic, embedded safety controls
 •  PLCs
 •  Ladder coding
 •  Electrical schematics, area classification, etc.

Chemical/Mechanical Engineering:

 •  Cooling Towers
 •  Boilers
 •  Compressors
 •  Pumps, including vacuum pumps
 •  Steam Ejectors
 •  ASME code
