Full Stack Software Engineer

The Role

As software engineer on the Student Debt Team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining critical functionality for our clients, participants, and operations team. We work closely with cross-functional teams of developers, analysts, architects, and product managers to deliver innovative solutions that elevate and enhance our product offering and services. Your responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with team members to design and develop new features for the student debt product lines.

Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code for back-end and mid-tier components.

Ensuring the scalability, performance, and reliability of our applications.

Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members.

Troubleshooting and debugging issues to maintain the integrity of our applications.

Staying up to date with the latest technologies and best practices software development.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Bachelor's degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)

3+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications in a financial services environment in AWS or Azure

Proven hands-on experience with design and development of muti-layer API architecture using Java/J2EE solutions and Spring framework.

Experience with database schema, PL/SQLs, stored procedures, and transactional SQL within DB2 / Oracle databases

Experience with cloud data warehousing platforms such as, Snowflake or AWS Redshift and containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes

Proficiency with both version control (GIT) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Concourse preferred)

Experience with Agile and Scrum Methodologies

Deep problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues
