The After School Youth Program Greeter (006) will be the first point of contact for members, parents, staff, volunteers, and guests entering the clubhouse. The After School Youth Program Greeter (006) will be responsible for providing fast, friendly service by actively engaging all members, parents, staff, volunteers, and guests as they enter and exit the building. We are offering an exciting opportunity for an After School Youth Program Greeter (006) at our following clubhouse:
• Navy Yard Clubhouse (006) - Brooklyn, NY
This is a part-time position working up to 25 hours a week Monday through Friday in the afternoon and evening.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the After School Youth Program Greeter (006) Position:
• Greet members as they enter the clubhouse; assist with scanning membership cards.
• Warmly welcome arriving guests and bid a fond farewell to departing guests, providing them with a genuine arrival and departure journey.
• Announce visitors to the appropriate person and direct visitors to waiting area.
• Alert staff as needed of members’ needs upon their arrival.
• Provide information to parents about club membership, such as club applications or brochures.
• Serve as an active and visible prevention to any possible confusion or commotion via general friendly and superior customer service.
• Clerical duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Knowledge for the After School Youth Program Greeter (006) Position:
• High School Diploma required; at least 2 years of work-related experience preferred.
• Positive, inclusive, genuine, innovative, engaging, and energetic personality.
• Ability to handle member and/or guest concerns in an efficient, calm, and genuine manner.
• Strong verbal communication skills are essential in addition to excellent follow-up skills.
• Extremely organized/detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds, ages 6-18 as well as a range of other organizational personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
• Highly motivated and dedicated to the organizational mission.
