We are partnered up with a growing Manufacturing company in their search for an EHS Manager to join the team! This position will report into the General Manager and will work closely with all departments within the company while overseeing 1 EHS Specialist.

Job Description
The EHS Manager - Multi-Site - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
• Plan-Promote a Zero Injury Safety Culture: Provide leadership and coaching to grow the site leadership team, plant operations, plant safety committee, and EHS direct reports, to create a workplace free of recognized hazards, promote safe work behaviors, and foster a lean safety culture that keeps the safety of employees a business value.
• Compliance reporting for all environmental, health and safety activities as per Federal (OSHA and EPA), State, and local EHS requirements.
• EHS record keeping and documentation control.
• Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs for managers, supervisors and employees to ensure a common and effective approach.
• Develop and communicate strategies to achieve EHS goals.
• Assisting in the identification of possible losses; evaluating the risk in such loss exposure.
• Developing and implementing a plan to correct or prevent a loss and audit the plan to ensure effectiveness.
• Ensure that contractor personnel working on the property are in compliance with local policies and safety requirements.
• Proactively Perform EHS audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Assess potential environmental risks and provide mitigation plans to reduce incidents.
• Ensure timely investigation of environmental, health and safety incidents, root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective action plans.
• Work with management to manage employee's workers compensation claims and work assignments.
• Development of pollution and waste control programs.
• Evaluate safety of new processes and equipment.
• Evaluate hazards for safety, health, and environmental risks and ensure the development of Job Hazard Analyses for defined tasks.
• Conduct or direct testing of air quality, noise, temperature, or radiation levels to verify compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Develop and deploy HSE programs and training to meet regulatory requirements and operational needs
• Utilize Six Sigma tools to assess EHS performance and collaborate with appropriate personnel to develop recovery/improvement plans
• Establish goals, objectives, metrics and scorecards to assure the EHS function is effective.
• Coordinate the identification of capital funding needs for EHS projects and assure that spending for these projects meet budget and timing constraints and achieve the desired results.

The Successful Applicant
The ideal EHS Manager - Multi-Site - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety management or environmental management, or related field
• Masters Degree Preferred
• 5+ years EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Leader with proven ability to lead change initiatives; demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals of all disciplines and levels within and across the organization
• Comprehensive understanding of EHS regulations and requirements in MA and CT
• Experience with process improvement tools such as Kaizen
• Strong focus on behavioral safety and employee engagement
• Experience with implementing EHS management system including ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001)
• Experience with OSHA VPP preferred
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or other EHS professional certification is preferred;
