Delaware Litigation Legal Assistant

We are currently seeking a positive and proactive in-office Legal Assistant for a full-time direct-hire position. This is a unique opportunity to support a legendary attorney practicing corporate and fiduciary litigation in Delaware's prestigious Court of Chancery, earning a competitive salary and benefits.

As a DE Litigation Legal Assistant, you will play a vital role providing comprehensive support to our litigation attorneys full time in the office. Your responsibilities will encompass general office support, monthly billing processes, client and matter setup, court deadline management, electronic filing, and various research and support activities.
This role involves working closely with an attorney serving as lead counsel in representing plaintiffs and defendants in high-profile cases.

Qualifications:

 •  Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Legal Assistant or Secretary in a law firm.
 •  Proven experience in client, court, and company interactions.
 •  Demonstrated strong writing skills, coupled with exceptional organizational, time management, and deadline-oriented capabilities.
 •  Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
 •  Keen attention to detail, coupled with the ability to effectively multitask.
 •  Self-motivated with the capacity to excel under pressure.
 •  Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a dynamic work environment.
 •  Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
 •  Advanced proficiency in MS Office; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Duties:

 •  Offer comprehensive office support, encompassing file maintenance, calendar management, and travel coordination.
 •  Assist in the monthly billing process, and establish new clients and matters in the billing system.
 •  Precisely prepare legal documents, correspondence, and presentations within established timelines.
 •  Effectively manage court deadlines, file pleadings, and stay abreast of changes in court rules and procedures.
 •  Conduct general research and provide support activities to aid attorneys.
 •  Serve as a gatekeeper for lead counsel, managing calls and screening visitors.
 •  Tackle a diverse workload, including tasks such as engagement letters, conflicts searches, and e-filing.
 •  Collaborate closely with lead counsel, handling both administrative tasks and offering in-depth legal support.
