This position involves heading a team in the Motion NEMA Motors, ensuring continuous and efficient production operations in line with plans, procedures and quality and safety standards and policies.

Your responsibilities
 •  Foster a culture where safety is first priority and procedures and policies are followed
 •  Be a representative of management that portrays a professional attitude and supports the company goals and objectives
 •  Provide leadership, direction, training and administration of anyone assigned to their department
 •  Be responsible for the quality, production, safety, housekeeping and problem solving on a daily basis for your assigned areas. Also, be responsible for improving quality, safety, productivity and overall performance
 •  Operate in compliance with OSHA and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) Standards
 •  Have high expectations for all employees and be consistent in all employee relation matters while not accepting poor performance in any area
 •  Work with all other departments, supervisors and managers to solve problems and accomplish plant goals
 •  Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling and discipline direct reports
 •  Enforce general handbook policies fairly and consistently
 •  Be flexible in work hours
 •  Other duties as assigned

Your background
 •  Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's Degree with minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience OR High School Diploma or GED with minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience
 •  Candidate must be able to supervise employees while achieving all daily production goals
 •  Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
 •  Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision
 •  Attention to detail, time efficiency and utilization of manpower
 •  Effective time management and the ability to prioritize
 •  Understanding of manufacturing concepts, processes and Flex Flow and Lean concepts
 •  Must be self motivated, detail oriented, with a strong desire to learn new things
 •  Strong written and verbal communication skills
 •  Must be able to handle multiple tasks, changing priorities and perform well under pressure
 •  Must be willing to attend leadership and continuing education classes
 •  Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $61,900 and $115,100 annually.
