Staff Accountant

Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses)
• Conduct month-end and year-end closures
• Prepare documents for audits
• Plan, organize, monitor, and train the daily activities of the accounting team
• Advance knowledge of all the duties in the office including deal processing, daily deposits, A/R, A/P, title work
• Timely completion of month-end close and financial statement transmissions
• Process daily and monthly reports
• Prepare monthly bank & finance reserve reconciliations
• Maintain internal controls and company processes and procedures
• Participate in financial audits
• Ability to partner with CFO and provide insight on department and expense variances and opportunities
This is not a remote position. You will be working directly with the CFO of the company.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting,
• Previous experience in homecare or healthcare a plus
• Proficiency MS Excel
• QuickBooks experience a plus
• Experience w/multistate companies a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership and managerial abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Thorough knowledge of accounting and finance
• Prior experience in the oversight and managment of an accounting office
• Ability to acquire understanding and absorb new information rapidly
• Analytical, organized, and enthusiastic leader
• Personable, action-oriented, and professional
