Job Description
• Lead an experienced team of actuaries and other insurance professionals
• Manage the P&L within the whole actuarial area
• Lead business development activities
• Support the development of tools to support actuarial and computational processes
• Actively participate in insurance projects, particularly those related to the implementation of IFRS17, including gap analysis, methodology development, review of actuarial models and optimisation of actuarial processes and models
• Coordinate with various departments within the business to ensure alignment of objectives
• Make decisions on complex actuarial issues involving financial and development aspects
• Lead product development and support workstreams and projects
• Ensure effective management of issues and project risks
• Prioritise tasks while providing direction and motivation to team members
The Successful Applicant
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Actuarial, Financial engineering, Business, Economics, Statistics or related relevant degree course
• Actuarial licencse
• Several years of experience in actuarial work in the position of Head of/Director/Partner
• Knowledge of product pricing, determination of technical reserves, calculations related to Embedded Value and Solvency II, reinsurance calculations, actuarial modeling and related tasks
• Documented experience in managing an actuarial team
• Ability to effectively lead a team with diverse experiences and skills
• Excellent communication skills in English and Polish
• Effective relationship building with clients both internally and externally
• Focused on achieving results and supporting business growth through experience in business development
• Knowledge and experience in creating or validating mathematical reserves and Solvency II
• Familiarity with IFRS 17 standards and approaches to insurance product pricing
• Knowledge of ML/AI techniques, open-source programming tools and Prophet would be a plus
