Job Description:

Total Rewards Operations Communications Manager (Global and North America Role)

Core Responsibilities

As a Total Reward Operations Communications Manager, this role focuses on effectively communicating changes and updates related to Client's Total Rewards program.

The ideal candidate is responsible for delivering global communications and capability strategies across compensation, benefits, and health-related areas to ensure employees understand and embrace the changes to their Total Rewards benefits.

This role is critical in facilitating understanding, minimizing resistance, and fostering employee support and acceptance of Total Rewards initiatives.

Some key duties and responsibilities of this position may include:

  1.  Change Management Communications:

Support the implementation of changes within the global Total Rewards program at Client.

This includes creating a comprehensive plan that outlines global key messaging, target audiences, communication channels, and global templates to ensure a consistent and smooth employee experience, working with regional HR partners when necessary to deploy to targeted audiences.

  2.  Communications:

Partner with HR to draft content that explains the organization's global benefits offerings, including health insurance plans, retirement options, wellness initiatives, and other perks, in addition to the compensation philosophy, salary structures, bonus plans, and other monetary rewards.

The goal is to simplify complex information and make it accessible and appealing to employees.
  3.  Vendor communication:

Connect with HR and key global benefit vendors to review vendor communication as necessary to ensure consistency of Client Total Rewards messaging. Track calendar of global vendor communication.
  4.  Employee Engagement:

Develop strategies to engage employees throughout organizational changes. This may include organizing global sessions to provide opportunities for employees to learn more about changes and existing global Total Reward offerings.
  5.  Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate with HR, Global Corporate Affairs, leadership, and other key stakeholders to align messaging with Client's key objectives and ensure adherence to brand guidelines The ideal candidate will work closely with HR teams to ensure that managers are equipped with the necessary information to effectively communicate changes to their teams.

  6.  Measurement and Feedback:

Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts, such as employee feedback surveys, readership analytics, and engagement metrics.

This data is used to evaluate the success of the communication strategies for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in human resources, communications, or a related field.

8+ years of relevant experience working in a HR or Communications capacity with a strategic focus and global responsibility.

Ability to synthesize complex and/or technical HR content into simplified, digestible language.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated experience in managing communication initiatives during organizational change.

Experience managing roll out (communications and capability) of a large scale complex global project.

Exhibit strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, exceptional teamwork, and collaboration skills.

Experience with latest technology used in the communications and capability/training fields.

Proficiency in data analysis and measurement techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of communication strategies.

Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with HR professionals, senior leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders is essential.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and engage others.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Adaptable, flexible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Experience in working with third party HR or communication vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience specific to change management (or change practitioner certification) or copywriting skills.

Experience specific to Total Rewards or compensation and benefits.

Proven experience working in a complex, matrixed environment.
