Job Description:

Assist in build and operation of chemical processes. Clean area and maintain parts/equipment inventories. Create requisitions for PMs. Help construct and operate chemical pilot plant processes using pipe, AC/DC powered instruments/equipment. Assist in operating complex chemical and petroleum processes at a pilot (small) scale.
Maintain equipment/ vehicles, install/remove insulation, deliver packages, assist with welding, cutting, wiring, installation and drawings. Document operations data in logbook and communicate to other shifts. Perform analytical testing using gas chromatograph.
Create and manage chemical and equipment inventory.

Required education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must have HS diploma or equivalent

Hands on experience with mechanical and electrical systems

Must have experience with instrumentation and AC/DC power

Must have hand tool and power tool experience

Any experience with chemicals or chemical processes such as distillation is a plus

Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving is a plus

Must have Word and Excel experience

Must be able to work 24/7 shift as required

Must have steel toe shoes

Must be able to pass a MVR

We operate some of our projects on a 24/7 schedule, the specific shifts are defined once the person is on the project. For 24/7, the shifts will usually be 12.5 hrs, with four days on and four days off. The personnel typically rotate shifts, meaning day shift, rest days, night shift, rest days, and then the cycle repeats.
For this schedule people are usually coming in between the hours of 5 am 7 am and leaving between 5:30 pm 7:30 pm, or coming in on the reverse hours for night shift. If it's a 24/5 schedule, shifts can be 8 hr shifts for five days a week. The shifts can usually be from 6 am 2:30 pm, 2 pm 10:30 pm, and 10 pm 6 am
