Responsibilities:

The Donor Services Department at the Rhode Island Blood Center is seeking a dependable individual for daily travel to and from RIBC mobile blood drives to fixed sites for transport, set up, and breakdown of all equipment.
 •  Complete Mobile Prep by: Maintaining vehicle inventory of stock items. Using “Drive Sheet”, gather non-stock supplies from packing room and load onto vehicle. Ensure that supply levels are adequate for assigned blood drive or fixed site before leaving RIBC. At end of work shift, restock vehicle with stock items.
 •  Support Mobile Drive and Fixed Site Operations by: Consulting the Donor Services Supervisor, Drive Coordinator, and “Drive Sheet” to determine appropriate arrangement of equipment and supplies to ensure proper and efficient set up of blood drive. Coordinate “end of drive” activities with Donor Services Supervisor, including: disassembly of drive equipment, load all RIBC equipment and supplies onto truck, and leave blood drive site clean and free of debris. Deliver supplies and equipment to RIBC fixed sites and provide assistance to Donor Services Supervisor as needed.
 •  Greet and register donors at blood drives and RIBC fixed sites.
 •  Operate RIBC vehicles in accordance with applicable Rhode Island law. Daily travel to and from mobile blood drive sites and RIBC fixed site locations. Plan trips to ensure efficient and timely return of blood to RIBC processing per Donor Services Administrative Standards.

Maintain cleanliness and repair of all Donor Services department equipment (beds, blood pressure cuffs, etc…). Protect company assets by handling equipment and laptop computers in an appropriate manner to ensure security and safety.
 •  Exhibit excellent customer service skills and promote positive interactions with external and internal customers.
