CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze compensation accounts and ensure journal entries are recorded timely during the month-end close process
• Responsible for recording global consultant bonus accruals, benefits, prepaid sign-on bonus amortization and payroll
• Responsible for completing and reviewing monthly account analysis by reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
• Responsible for providing management and regional controllers with compensation analysis and flux explanations
• Provide key analysis schedules to support the SEC reporting process and earnings release
• Responsible for the development and review of one staff accountant
• Prepares and reviews reports supporting internal and external audits
• Work closely with HR Compensation team, HR Business Partners, Payroll, Regional Finance Directors and FP& A team
• Review and recommend enhancements to the compensation and close process
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), general accounting process and internal control elements
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years of accounting experience required
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Experience in public accounting preferred
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create concise, high quality reports
• Experience in accounting and financial systems
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft General Ledger and Oracle HFM a plus
• Experience managing people a plus
• Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel a plus
