Maintenance Supervisor

Position Overview: The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations within our facilities. This includes managing a team of maintenance technicians, coordinating maintenance schedules, ensuring equipment reliability, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance management, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.

Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to ensure the effective operation of equipment and facilities.

Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and address maintenance issues in a timely manner.

Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance history, and inventory levels.

Evaluate equipment performance and make recommendations for upgrades or replacements as needed.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.

Participate in the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of maintenance staff.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and optimize equipment performance.

Manage departmental budget and expenses, seeking cost-effective solutions for maintenance needs.

Serve as a liaison between maintenance staff and management, communicating priorities, issues, and recommendations effectively.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.

Proven experience in maintenance management or a similar supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Familiarity with maintenance management software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for maintenance operations.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed to support maintenance activities.
