Responsibilities:

The BI Developer participates in development and support of data through incremental development of the Data Warehouse and then presentation to the business community through query results and/or reporting structures. This role includes defining, coding and maintaining the extraction, transformation and load of data to and from the data warehouse in conjunction with many independent data marts. This role participates throughout the project life cycle from planning to production implementation. Key functions include but are not limited to:

 •  Design, develop, write, modify and implement Power BI Dashboards and Management Reports
 •  Design, develop, modify and implement Tabular Data Models for use by Power BI Dashboards that provides easy access to data and drill-down capabilities based upon user needs
 •  Participate in testing through test definition, review and validation
 •  Seeks input from manager and team members to apply experience and judgment towards accomplishing assignments
 •  Works with technical resources (internal and external) to ensure accurate translation of specifications into workable application code
 •  Work with Leadership and the user community to understand business needs arounds data analytics, providing options and recommended solutions providing ease of access to business data
 •  Participate in in-person work product collaboration and training sessions

Qualifications:

 •  Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience
 •  Strong report writing skills and database skills including SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, SSAS and complex stored procedures
 •  Familiar with a variety of the insurance technology concepts, practices, and procedures with a strong focus on data integrity
 •  Demonstrates a moderate degree of creativity and latitude
 •  Demonstrated strong written and oral communications skills
 •  Demonstrated ability to work and interact with all levels of the organization
 •  Demonstrated organizational skills while working on multiple projects
 •  Ability and desire to meet deadlines
 •  Ability to draft communications that are clear, concise, complete and professional
 •  Must consistently demonstrate the WRBC Core Competencies and Innovation Behaviors
