The Project Manager will work in tandem with Project Superintendents, Engineers and the Construction Manager to ensure projects are successfully completed safely, on time and on budget. He/She will
• collaborate with field supervisors on a daily basis, acting as the company’s primary point of contact when communicating, negotiating or trouble-shooting contractual, commercial or technical issues with the Owner
• works closely with the Construction Manager to coordinate and develop the careers of field supervisors on their projects
• write and approve purchase orders and subcontracts
• develop the budget and regularly update cost and revenue projections for their projects
• actively participate in means and methods, safety planning, project scheduling and budgeting in the construction and pre-construction phases
• must have extensive knowledge and experience in the marine/heavy/civil construction industry.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering Technology
• 5+ yrs related project management experience
• Experience in heavy civil, marine construction, and/or cost estimating
• Must be able to qualify for a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
