Purpose and Scope:

The essential function of this position within the organization is to ensure the implementation of the RTI^2 Framework in assigned school. This position is responsible for working under the direction of the Principal at specified school site(s) to decrease the percent of students who fall under the 25^th percentile on MAP.
The Intervention Teacher will provide direct instruction to qualified students, continually monitoring student progress to improve instructional practice and student outcomes. Requires excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and effective verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree and endorsement in area of intervention. Must be physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position. Teacher Effectiveness scores of three (3) four (4) or five (5) preferred.

Degree Equivalency Formula:

Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.

Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
