The Field Service Technician is responsible for ensuring that the company's clients have the best service experience possible by providing complete service. Your duties will include collecting information, troubleshooting, assessing the fault, making repairs and changes in support of our service customers at all levels.
This role requires a detail minded, technically skilled individual; able to think quickly on your feet in a fast-paced environment. You need to be able to follow procedures and checklists but have the confidence to improvise when and where needed.

Your day will look like this:

 •  Provide technical support and the diagnosis of system problems associated with audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT systems.
 •  Perform preventative maintenance visits to help maintain a stable client-based system.
 •  Repair audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT related systems when possible, including re-terminating or soldering various cables.
 •  Provide professional customer service including rapidly building technical credibility with clients via superior knowledge and service.
 •  Work with manufacturers for support to identify and resolve issues.
 •  Complete projects and installs as part of the Systems Integration Team when needed.
 •  Coordinate required activities with subcontractors, manufacturers, and staff personnel through the required management chain.
 •  Field installation, configuration, and programming of control system programs (AMX /Crestron /Firmware) - upload and download capability.
 •  Field service support of networked devices (Routers/IP Protocols, etc.)
 •  Provide necessary training and support for next level service technicians.
 •  Provide end-user client training and support both onsite and remote.
 •  Answer customer requests and notifications for service via phone, email, and video, in a timely manner and document this activity in the company’s software programs.
 •  Produce accurate and timely service quotes and reports detailing service work performed using the Company’s software programs.

Your profile:

 •  High School Diploma or equivalent required.
 •  Minimum of three (3) years of experience in lighting, audio, video equipment, or electronics repair.
 •  OSHA 10 Construction- must be able to obtain within 60 days of employment.
 •  An excellent understanding of audio, lighting, video projection for both consumer and professional grade equipment.
 •  CTS or professional diploma in AV/ electronics or equivalent (an asset).
 •  Disciplined with attention to detail.
 •  Ability to communicate well with customers & team members.
 •  Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
 •  Valid Driver’s license with a good driving record and reliable transportation.
 •  Ability to direct independent work & work in a team as needed.
 •  Ability to manage priorities, respecting timelines, and critical deadlines.
 •  Ability to work outdoors in all seasons.
 •  Knowledge of control systems (Crestron, AMX), video conferencing systems (Polycom, Cisco), lighting systems (DMX, Light Jockey, ETC, Strand), digital audio processing (Q-SYS, Soundweb, Biamp) is a plus.
 •  Knowledge of Salesforce a plus.
 •  Knowledge of various types of audiovisual and related systems including switchers, projectors, displays, digital signage, microphones, speakers, etc.
 •  General knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switches, routers, firewalls, and AV over IP

 •  Time will be spent in an office setting.
 •  Time will be spent on construction sites.
 •  Time will be spent working in outdoor environments.
 •  Time will be spent in a warehouse environment.
 •  Ability to meet site access requirements for a variety of customers.
 •  The environment may be fast paced, hot, cold, and dark.
 •  Flexible work hours to support operations.
 •  Typical workweeks are the standard 40 hours.
 •  Overnight travel may be required.
