What You'll Do::

The Clinical Outreach Specialist is a key member of our interdisciplinary health team, serving as a clinical community health worker. In this role, they actively engage with communities affected by substance use, conducting vital health screenings such as HIV, Hepatitis C, and Blood Glucose in the field.
Additionally, they provide essential health education and facilitate enabling services like transportation, patient referrals, and follow-ups to both in-clinic services and external community resources. The Specialist also offers limited case management to clients in our harm reduction program and supports outreach efforts for other vulnerable populations as needed by the department.

What We're Looking For::

 •  Lived experience in homelessness and/or migrant agriculture work is highly preferred
 •  Clinical experience is strongly preferred, must have an active Medical Assisting certification or be eligible to obtain one
 •  Valid North Carolina driver’s license; eligible for coverage under BRH automobile insurance policy
 •  High school diploma or equivalent required
