Sales & Use Tax Accountant
Our Fort Worth client is seeking to permanent a sales & use tax accountant. Our client offers 100% paid medical benefits for the employee and excellent quality of life.
Prepare and process all sales and use returns for multiple divisions. Evaluate tax positions of certain contracts. Execute all tax exemption certificates as needed. Analyze and reconcile all Balance sheet accounts related to tax. Lead all Tax audits including but not limited to Sales and Use, Mixed Beverage Sales, and Mixed Beverage Gross Receipts taxes.
Assist in preparation of all yearly tax returns. Work within the accounting team and overall be a team player in the company. Assist with developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for accounting processes when applicable. Provide financial reporting as requested by supervisor.
Facilitate month-end, quarter-end and year-end close tasks related to taxes. Apply Federal, State, and local laws and regulations pertaining to accounting and auditing work. Complete special projects as assigned by supervisor. Bachelors Degree 2+ years sales & use tax experience
