Robert Half is seeking a Medical Scheduler to join our respective client in Davenport! The candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating patient appointments and diagnostic orders. Working independently, you will be responsible for accurately entering physician diagnostic orders, processing patient registration and scheduling information, and providing results to referring physicians.
Additionally, you will serve as a point of contact for inquiries from patients, family members, physicians, and clinical staff. If you thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment and possess strong organizational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

Independently complete data entry of physician diagnostic orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established protocols.

Process patient registration and scheduling information in a timely manner, utilizing electronic medical records systems.

Provide results of diagnostic tests to referring physicians and other healthcare providers as required.

Serve as a resource for inter and intradepartmental inquiries from patients, family members, physicians, and clinical staff, providing accurate and timely information.

Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless coordination of patient appointments and diagnostic procedures.

Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.

Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions as required to stay current on policies, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications:

1+ year(s) of experience in a medical scheduling or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office suite preferred.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, family members, physicians, and clinical staff.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic procedures preferred.
