Robert Half is looking for a senior accounting analyst for a growing Cincinnati based company. The senior accounting analyst will be responsible for preparing and reviewing regulatory, external and internal financial reporting. The senior accounting analyst prepares financial analysis, presenting results to departmental and shared service leadership.

 •  Prepares complex general ledger accounting entries for life insurance subsidiaries and non-life entities, on both a statutory and GAAP basis. Reviews routine accounting prepared by less senior team members. Reviews routine reconciliation of financial and/or budget data.
 •  Develops monthly analysis of accounting, budget and investment results. Provides current and forward looking information to support business leadership decision-making.
 •  Partners with organizational peers to present results to department leadership and BU analysts to support business unit decision-making, budget analysis and strategic initiatives.
 •  Prepares regulatory, external and internal reporting for distribution to management, Board of Directors, regulators and rating agencies.
 •  Minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior accountant role, preferably within the insurance - life industry.
 •  Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
 •  Expertise in general ledger maintenance and creation of journal entries.
 •  Familiarity with month-end close activities, including month-end financial reporting, month-end journal entries, and month-end reports.
 •  Experience with monthly account reconciliation and monthly accruals.
 •  In-depth knowledge of balance sheet account reconciliation and maintaining the consolidated balance sheet.
 •  Proficiency in managing the ledger balance sheet account.
 •  Thorough understanding and experience in financial reporting.
 •  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
 •  Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is highly desirable.
 •  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
 •  Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification is preferred.
 •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 •  Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
 •  Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
 •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 •  Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
 •  High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
 •  Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding accounting, finances, and taxation.
