About Our Client

Our client is a global chemical manufacturer, that has been in business for over 100 years. They seek a Process Engineer for a facility located northwest of Minneapolis. The position is open due to business growth and will report directly to the Plant Manager.

Job Description
 •  Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and reduce waste
 •  Evaluate chemical equipment and processes to identify ways to optimize performance or to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
 •  Provide technical expertise and support to production teams to troubleshoot issues, improve process reliability, and ensure product quality
 •  Design and plan layout of equipment.
 •  Evaluate existing equipment and recommend upgrades or modifications to improve performance and reliability.
 •  Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies by conducting risk assessments, implementing safety protocols, and participating in audits.
 •  Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and coordination with stakeholders.
 •  Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, quality assurance, maintenance, and production to achieve company goals and objectives.
 •  Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, equipment specifications, and project activities to ensure traceability and knowledge transfer.

The Successful Applicant
 •  Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
 •  Proven experience in process engineering within the chemical, paint, or related manufacturing industry.
 •  Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
 •  Proficiency in process simulation software, CAD tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
 •  Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively.
 •  Project management experience with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget.
 •  Knowledge of regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations applicable to chemical and paint manufacturing.
 •  Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

What's on Offer
 •  Competitive base salary between $100,000 - $115,000, depending on experience and skills
 •  20% Bonus - 10% Based on Individual Metrics, 10% on Company metrics (Maxed out last 16 years)
 •  On target earnings circa $130,000
