Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Automation Lead with a specialization in PLC and Robotics to drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge automation solutions at our facility. This role will be pivotal in leading the design, programming, and optimization of PLC systems and robotics integration, ensuring seamless operation and maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, programming, and implementation of PLC systems for automation and control of manufacturing processes.

Oversee the integration of robotics into manufacturing cells, optimizing performance and productivity.

Develop and maintain standards and best practices for PLC programming and robotics integration.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the automation team, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols in all automation activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

5+ years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and robotics integration.

Proficiency in programming PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and robotics systems (e.g., ABB, Fanuc).

Strong understanding of industrial automation concepts, including HMI/SCADA systems.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.

Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree or certification in Automation, Robotics, or related field.

Experience with advanced PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, function block diagram).

Familiarity with simulation software for robotics programming and testing.

Experience working in a manufacturing environment, particularly in the steel industry.
