ARETUM, a leading government contracting company specializing in technology-enabled mission support services, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Level Earthquake Response Planner to join our team. As a Mid-Level Earthquake Response Planner at ARETUM, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive earthquake response plans to support emergency management operations.

Responsibilities
 •  Providing planning support, operational research, project management, meeting facilitation, interagency coordination, and developing and writing emergency management plans related to seismic zone emergencies.
 •  Assist in the development and implementation of earthquake response plans, procedures, and protocols.
 •  Support risk assessments and identify measures to minimize the impact of earthquakes on critical infrastructure and communities.
 •  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate emergency response efforts.
 •  Conduct exercises and drills to test the effectiveness of response plans.
 •  Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in earthquake response planning.

Requirements
 •  4+ years emergency management planning experience, including earthquake response (e.g., developing seismic zone emergency management plans, etc.)
 •  Can effectively coordinate and collaborate with planning partners or other multi-disciplinary teams.
 •  Ability to travel 1-2 days a week to FEMA Region 5 HQ (Chicago, IL)
 •  Ability to receive a public trust suitability prior to beginning work on the project
 •  Ability to travel 25% within FEMA Region 5

Preferred
 •  Existing DHS or FEMA Entry on Duty suitability
 •  Experience working in insurance or national security related field
 •  Experience in federal government consulting
 •  Experience in IT, cybersecurity, or national security related field
 •  Familiarity with Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/FEMA programs or initiatives
