Job Summary:

We’re looking for a Prepack Technician to join our PharmScript team within our Prepack department. As a Prepack Technician, under the direction of a pharmacist, you will perform pharmacy-related functions, in compliance with department policies and procedures that provide optimal pharmaceutical care.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and is an effective communicator. They are always a team player, eager to jump in where needed and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy and needs of customers.

Responsibilities:

 •  General duties including filing, general tidying and cleaning of work area and general maintenance of equipment and materials
 •  Non-sterile prepacking of bulk medication bottles into unit-dose blisters
 •  Preparation of equipment, labels and prepack log cards
 •  Prepack quality functions including stock level audits, expiry date checking and prepack log cards maintenance
 •  Assist other pharmacy technicians
 •  Provide assistance in areas appointed by direct supervisor
 •  Overtime, holidays and weekends may be required and/or expected
 •  Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
 •  Process Measures
 •  Meets/exceeds productivity benchmarks for pre-packaging
 •  Outcome Measures
 •  Minimizes potential for QA by checking for accuracy
 •  Properly prepares all medications and documents all work as directed

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

 •  May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
 •  The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently
 •  May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
 •  May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
