Overview:
Plans, schedules, and monitors inbound movement of materials from suppliers | Determines material requirements and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering | Develops specifications for new contract orders.
Major Position Responsibilities:
• Provides support by planning and tracking material needed for production schedules.
• Monitors inventory levels and coordinates with purchasing to maintain adequate levels of parts and raw materials to manufacture products.
• Works to resolve and takes corrective action for materials issues impacting production schedules while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics.
• Analyze, plan, schedule, and initiate procurement actions.
• Ensures materials are cost effective.
• Assists in determining and ensuring the quality of materials.
• Execute material that required outside processing.
Basic Qualifications:
Required Education: Associate's Degree OR Equivalent Combination of Relevent Education & Experience
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
Discipline/Major: Business Administration/ Supply Chain Management
Years and Area of Experience (required for the role): 2-4 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Problem-solving skills. Computer skills. Planning skills. Leadership skills.
Critical Professional Related Technical Skills; Computer Skills: Proficient with use of Microsoft Office
