We are currently sourcing for a Lease Administration Manager to join our team. This role offers a hybrid in-office and remote work arrangement. The Lease Administration Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the activities associated with a team of Lease Administrators and our third-party co-sourcing partners.
This individual manages the day-to-day operational duties of a team ensuring that all activities and deliverables are performed within specified deadlines, policies and procedures are followed, and accuracy and integrity of the work product are met.
The Manager oversees the CAM and Tax recovery process, prepares the quarterly Tax accruals, coordinates and participates in the Tenant CAM audit program and the general CAM and Tax analysis of the portfolio from a billing and collection perspective, and provides guidance and support to a group of Recovery Lease Administrators.
The Manager generates internal Lease Administration management reports, sets monthly schedules, and provides problem solving assistance and advice to the Lease Administrators, in addition to identifying and recommending process improvement opportunities and carrying out related special projects as required.
This individual interfaces regularly with others within the accounting and finance department as well as property operations and legal.

Responsibilities:

 •  Guides and ensures accuracy in the processing of CAM and Tax recoveries.
 •  Reviews and provides final approval of operational activities associated with annual CAM and Tax reconciliations, tenant account adjustments including those related to tenant refunds, and other tenant-related transactions.
 •  Takes the lead in resolving and responding to tenant reconciliation disputes.
 •  Leads and provides management oversight to a team of Lease Administrators and third-party co-sourcing partners and manages workflow planning activities.
 •  Ensures deadlines are met and deliverables maintain a consistently high degree of accuracy and integrity, meeting key performance indicators.
 •  Provides advice and support to the Lease Administrators and others within the organization regarding lease interpretation, and billing.
 •  Identifies, develops, and recommends new and efficient methodologies and best practices on an ongoing basis.
 •  Establishes and maintains close working relationships with key stakeholders within operations, finance and accounting, collections, and legal.
 •  Manages and works on special projects, as required.

Qualifications:

 •  Bachelor’s degree, accounting emphasis preferred
 •  7+ years of commercial real estate lease administration experience required, including operating expense reconciliations, 3+ years in a managerial role
 •  Demonstrated outstanding team leader with exceptional organizational, time management, and analytical skills and a high attention to detail
 •  Excellent lease interpretation and research skills
 •  Proven problem-solving abilities
 •  Proven experience with Property Management software, ability to adapt to new technology and train others
 •  Ability to learn new concepts quickly and effectively and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
 •  Ability to identify and implement process improvements
 •  Excellent communication, both verbal and written
 •  Intermediate knowledge of Excel, experience with Word and knowledge of JDE Property Management system preferred

Salary Range: The typical base pay range is $95,000-$125,000 per year plus bonus. To ensure a fair and competitive offer, we take into account your job-related skills, experience, relevant qualifications, and the cost of living in your work location.
