Talent Space is looking for a consulting Development Engineer/Systems Integration for our Automotive domain client.

Client is looking for motivated and passionate engineers who help to integrate our AD/ADAS software package as well as hardware into Client vehicles. The project will start with a small fleet of prototypes development vehicles, aimed to scale the process of system integration up to a level where it can handle the whole MB car fleet.
This does include over-the-air-updates as well.

This position focuses on our research development vehicles and bringing them into operation after build-up. Another responsibility of this position isf to install different versions of ECUs, sensors and software updates on these vehicles. Early issue identification and quick problem solving will be required to keep our development fleet running and ensure fleet operations in the end.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

 •  Perform hardware and firmware integration for the next generation prototypes and fleet vehicles on development PCs and ECUs
 •  Perform and participate sensor calibration as well as the validation of the calibration result
 •  System debugging during integration and deployment of interfaces and connections (Ethernet, SW Interfaces, Sensor connections, ...) and root cause analysis prototypes
 •  Collaboration with an international development team and other external and internal partners to increase working efficiency
 •  Develop tools on our Development-PC in the car to support development and early integration

Required Qualifications (Education & Experience):

 •  Minimum level of education required and required field of study:

Degree in Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, Physics, Electric or related fields
 •  Minimum skills required:

o Advanced coding skills in console application script languages (Python, bash, ansible, bazel, ...)

o Experience in the development or validation of embedded systems in the automotive or consumer electronics industries

o Advanced analytical problem-solving skills, ability to identify and surface issues within complex hardware/software systems.

o Experience with E/E integration and signal tracing as well as automotive communication protocols (CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet, MOST, ...)

o Experience with tools to debug automotive interfaces (e.g. Vector Tools, CANoe, ...)

o Good communication skills, ability to formulate thoughts and ideas precisely in verbal and written form

o Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing boundary conditions

o Occasional international travel might be required

This is a Hybrid opportunity in Sunnyvale, CA. Project duration ill be until end of calendar year, with expectations of extension on anuual basis.
