Qualifications
" Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
" Proven experience as a Starburst in an AWS environment
" Strong proficiency in managing and optimizing Starburst clusters
" Experience with Presto and related big data technologies
" Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud architecture
" Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation
Responsibilities
" Administer and maintain Starburst clusters to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security
" Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and address their requirements
" Implement and maintain security protocols and access controls for Starburst environments
" Perform routine system monitoring, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
" Optimize and fine-tune Starburst clusters for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
" Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages and automation tools
" Implement backup and recovery strategies for Starburst workloads
" Stay informed about the latest Starburst and AWS features, updates, and best practices
" Collaborate with cloud architects and DevOps teams to integrate Starburst into broader AWS environments
" Provide technical support and training to users of Starburst platform
