Overview:
We are looking for a CNC Machinist / CNC programmer to join its growing facility and team. This person will produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities:
• Operate multiple machines to meet production goals.
• Plan machining processes based on work orders and engineering plans.
• Manage stock inventory, place orders, and ensure timely receipt of materials.
• Communicate with other areas to ensure seamless production flow.
• Edit mill and lathe program, set tool parameters, and calculate requirements.
• Set up mills and lathes, including tool installation and alignment.
• Load materials and verify settings with precision.
• Maintain quality standards, troubleshoot processes, and adhere to safety regulations.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of machined parts
• Document actions, production logs, and communicate effectively across shifts.
• Stay updated on industry knowledge.
• Contribute to achieving organizational goals and seek ways to add value to the job.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
Additional Duties
• Learn and operate CNC metal spinning machines.
• Perform general maintenance and request annual maintenance as needed.
• Train future employees in machine shop practices and procedures.
• Operate manual lathe & mill when needed.
• Assist in fixture design and fabrication.
• Ability to assist the R & D team in one off designs
Qualifications
• Experience: 5+ years in CNC machining experience. Haas CNC controllers.
• Preferred Experience: Metal Spinning, Y-Axis Lathe, 4th Axis Mill, Machine Shop Management, CAM software experience
• Education: High school diploma/GED.
• Skills: Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Gsuite is a plus. Basic math skills.
