Luxottica is looking a part time Benefits Consultant to work 25 to 30 hours per week.

Part time (20 to 30 hours) onsite at MDCS. They will need to travel about 15-20 times per year throughout Dade County, and they are required to be in the office 5 days per week, with some flexibility in the summer to work virtual Appropriate dress code (to include no tennis shoes) No use of cell phone unless related to Miami Dade Schools No personal use of equipment All personal business must be handled outside of the office.

The Benefit Consultant will work for EyeMed Vision Care on-site at our client, Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS), at their main administration office in Miami, FL. This individual will be an integral part of the MDCPS benefits team and will work closely with them to serve the employees of MDCPS.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

" Serve as a liaison between EyeMed Home Office and MDCPS;
" Support MDCPS in the administration & management of the EyeMed Vision plan;

" Serve the employees of MDCPS by being an expert on the vision plan but also have working knowledge of all benefit offerings Some of the specific tasks related to this position include:

" Handle walk-in traffic with benefit questions;
" Handle benefit phone calls from employees regarding vision plan;
" Travel to schools (~500 locations) throughout district to educate employees on benefits programs and wellness;
" Attend Health Fairs & Open Enrollment Events;
" Work eligibility exception reports for MDCPS;
" Work reconciliation reports;
" Handle paper work for COBRA applicants;

" Other duties as requested *They will need to travel about 15-20 times per year throughout Dade County, and they are required to be in the office 5 days per week, with some flexibility in the summer to work virtual (this past year it was 2 times per week work from home

EYEMED ONLY: As part of your contractor's compliance while working in the EyeMed department, the OIG/GSA/OFAC screening is an additional requirement for EyeMed positions. It should be conducted prior to placement and once a month thereafter. The results should be emailed to by the 5th of each month and we again ask that you house each file internally for auditing purposes.
EyeMed needs full screenshots where the website link and the date/time the screening was performed are all visible (this is required for all 3 types of screenings). Screenshots of completed training is required during 1st week of hire. Screenshots are to be kept in file and sent to PMO to upload into IQN.
Eyemed Mandatory Training (3 for Compliance purposes and 2 for HiTrust / Security requirements) is required during first 2 weeks and completed passport to be sent to manager, supplier
