We are looking for a Senior Accountant for a mortgage company responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include:
Entering and processing daily accounting transactions as assigned.
Processing daily deposits and enter into the accounting system.
Preparing journal entries as assigned for approval.
Completing assigned reconciliations accurately, completely, and in the time frame required by corporate policies.
Preparing and ensuring accuracy and integrity of accounting and transactional records to ensure proper financial reporting.
Proactively involved with Accounting Manager & Controller to assist with incumbents of responsibility through periodic meetings to ensure timely and prompt identification and resolution of accounting issues.
Working with external audit firms to support timely completion of audits or compliance reporting.
Specific qualifications for the position include:
Three to five years of accounting experience is required. Mortgage accounting is preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
