Job Summary:
The Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer provides engineering and development support to ensure optimal methods are employed for projects, aiming for economic efficiency. Collaborates with manufacturing, quality, and engineering departments to establish quality and manufacturing practices meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Process Engineer & Chief Manufacturing Engineer on part quality requirements.
Assist in creating work instructions, quality plans, and training documents for manufacturing and quality.
Engage with customers' technical personnel on ongoing or upcoming projects.
Aid in preparing accurate cost analyses and delivery time forecasts for quotations.
Make decisions on new production quotes and product line expansions.
Work with Chief Manufacturing Engineer to enhance manufacturing throughput, profit margins, and efficiency.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality & engineering to reduce non-conforming material.
Provide engineering support to various company departments.
Assist manufacturing department in process development.
Participate in identifying strategic processes, skills, and implementing related processes, procedures, and training.
Conduct product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality enhancement, and efficiency improvement, offering recommendations.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 10 years related experience/training; or equivalent combination.
Knowledge of customer and company requirements through interpretation of specifications and procedures.
Strong written and oral communication skills for technical data translation.
Proficiency in computer skills including CAD and Microsoft Office.
Ability to provide feedback to drive employee behaviors.
Capability to handle abstract and concrete variables effectively.
