Title: AWS SAS Grid AdministratorLocation: Remote/ Reston, VADuration: 12 Months Description:Analytics CoE team is looking for an AWS Cloud SAS GRID Administrator that will be playing a key role in helping on SAS Grid Re-Host to AWS Cloud and bring in key transformational changes to how we deploy and manage SAS Grid on cloud native architecture.
Duties & Responsibilities:Provide day-to-day operation of the SAS platform on AWS cloud, and provide technical support to developers, researchers and analystsEffectively work with business analysts, development leads, researchers and technical teams to provide guidance on using appropriate SAS tools and SAS coding techniques, statistical methodologies and data manipulation as requiredDevelop & maintain technical documentation including system diagrams & operational proceduresPerform patching, upgrades, and installation of Hotfixes across the environments as necessary.Troubleshoot installation issues, user issues on SAS AWS and On-prem ClustersMaintain and develop Knowledge Base Articles and Wiki Pages to document standard work and troubleshooting guidesReview and understand SAS logs to determine GRID errors and whether GRID is functioning correctlyBacking up and restoring SAS within a GRID environmentAssessing and optimizing performance of the SAS GRID environmentManaging all GRID nodes from a centralized locationAdding nodes to the GRID environment, or reconfiguring nodes Required qualifications:5+ years of hands-on production experience and knowledge on using and troubleshooting issues with SAS Development and Management Tools3+ years of production experience with core AWS services3+ years production experience with cloud orchestration tools like Cloud Formation or Terraform2+ years of production experience with setting up CI/CD pipelines in systems like Jenkins, AWS Code PipelineStrong working experience on Linux environmentTechnical HandsOn with shell scripting4+ years of experience with RDBMS, MSSQL Server, PGSQL, AWS DB Services4+ years of experience with SAS Configuration Wizard to administer SAS deploymentExperience defining Servers, updating server definitions and monitoring Logs from within SMCExperience with SAS Environment Manager, SAS Grid Manager, SASGSUB, SAS Grid Management Services, LSF Process Manager, Platform RTM, Starting and stopping serversUnderstanding server security and folders and how they relate to SAS folders and securityKnowledge of SAS configuration files such as autoexec, configuration and environment filesExperience configuring SAS for High Availability within GRID environment including Metadata ServerWorking with SAS GRID-related high availability and failover requirements, including storage architecture and configuration (Amazon FSx for Lustre)Experience with and applying SAS GRID usage tracking, monitoring, alerts notification and load balancingDesired to have SAS Viya Administration experience Key Competencies:Should possess the ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneouslyKnowledgeable in the AWS Well Architected FrameworkGeneral knowledge of project management and proactive self-starterExcellent communication skills and be effective writing skillsAbility to manage multiple projects efficiently and able to meet deadlinesAbility to independently research and resolve technical problems in a complex IT environment with local and remote groups Tools/Skillset:SAS Grid Software 9.4+SAS Viya SAS Enterprise Guide 7.xSAS Studio Python, R, Shell Scripting, Yaml, Json NOTE: Minimum of 5+ years of SAS Grid Admin experience in SAS environment (500-1000 users)
