Data Analyst
Our Mid-Wilshire client is looking for a contract to hire Data Analyst who is looking for an entry level job in the IT department. This position has career trajectory to a Junior Analyst role. This role is essential in supporting data analysis initiatives, maintaining policies and procedures, and contributing to cross-functional projects.
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with all departments within the organization, outside consultants, legal counsel, and benefits-related vendors.
Responsibilities:
• Support the Benefits Analysis team in preparing and performing data analysis on pension benefits, health plan eligibility and claims, and contributions.
• Assist in maintaining the Benefits Analysis policies and procedures manual and ensuring procedures are up to date.
• Collaborate and assist analysts in departmental projects and reports, performing basic analysis as needed.
• Prepare materials and reports as instructed by the department manager.
• Assist in the preparation of data requested from consultants, vendors, and internal users.
• Participate in the planning and completion of overall departmental projects and assist with the implementation of department initiatives.
• Work independently to ensure assigned weekly and monthly projects are completed accurately and timely.
• Prioritize and assist with multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
• Accept direction and developmental guidance from the department manager.
• Work effectively with individuals at all levels and contribute to cross-functional projects within the organization as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Demonstrated ability in handling inbound and outbound calls
• Proven experience in customer service
• Ability to manage data entry tasks efficiently
• Experience with email correspondence and managing professional communication
• Capability to schedule appointments accurately and effectively
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
