North Point Defense (NPD) is seeking an experienced Network Analyst to join its team in Rome, NY.
Responsibilities:
Plans and coordinates implementation of switch cuts, forecasts, and special projects within the network.
Consults with users and evaluates requirements, recommends designs, provides cost analyses, plans projects, and coordinates tasks for installation of networks.
Develops network performance criteria and measurement methods.
Performs technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems, front-end processors systems engineering, multiplexors, LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems.
Develops alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities.
Automates statistical research and reports.
Prepares, tests, implements and operates computer programs for modeling and simulation tolls.
Performs future worth economic selection studies on network upgrades and components to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current system.
Requirements
Education/Experience Requirements:
5 + years of Network Analysis or IT experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Other Requirements:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Current TS/SCI a strong plus.
Up to 10% travel required
Salary Range: $30 - $40/hour depending on experience and qualifications
