Sr./Director, Business Development - CDMO - San Fran (REMOTE)

This client is a growing international full-service CDMO/CRO within the biotechnology space looking to aggressively expand its footprint in the US. The company has a strong base of API/Small Molecule, Biologics, Clinical Research, Bioanalytical Sciences, DMPK, Cell and Gene Therapy and other capability centers across the US.
This business has developed a fantastic brand in the US through exceptional service which drives repeat business. This role is fully remote within the San Francisco territory.
Job Description
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives, primarily selling Discovery and Process Chemistry services
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at client organizations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet clients' specific needs and requirements.
• Lead contract negotiations and ensure the successful closure of deals.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.
• Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market developments to senior management.

The Successful Applicant
• Ph.D. or M.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or other related discipline.
• 5+ years of industry experience in Biotech, preferably in a Business Development role.
• Proven track record of success in selling CDMO/CRO services to biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
• Strong understanding of the drug development process and the pharmaceutical industry.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
