Virtus Healthcare Staffing is excited to partner with a leading Level III trauma center in Eureka, CA to find a talented MRI Technologist!

About the Opportunity:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled MRI Technologist to join a dynamic team at a Level III trauma center. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by performing MRI scans and ensuring accurate diagnoses. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate!

Responsibilities:

Operate MRI scanner to produce detailed images of patients' internal organs, bones, and tissues.

Accurately position patients for examinations and ensure their comfort and safety.

Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to strict infection control protocols.

Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Perform contrast media administration (intravenous and oral) when necessary.

Document patient information and scan details accurately in electronic medical records.

Maintain a clean and organized MRI scanning suite.

Stay up-to-date on the latest MRI scanning techniques and protocols.

Qualifications:

Required:

National Registered Technologist (NRT) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) upon hire or National Certified MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) certification upon hire.

National Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire.

Preferred:

Graduation from a program in radiologic technology accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the American Medical Association (CAHEA).

California Radiologic Technologist License (CRT) upon hire.

2 years of experience working as an MRI Technologist in a hospital setting.

5+ years of experience as the primary technologist in a high-volume MRI facility (a plus).

Required Skills:

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with various healthcare professionals.

Excellent time management and multitasking skills.

Proficient in medical terminology and electronic medical records systems.

Strong ability to listen to patients and address their concerns.

Compassion and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
