Job Description/ Responsibilities

Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, vendors, and management.

Organizational skills and time management skills to keep projects on track to the finish.

Manage projects with top-down oversight.

Work with team to understand the current setup and prepare a strategy / approach for SQL server migration.

Plan and execute Database EOL Migration by working closely with the Cloud engineers and application team.

Strong understanding of database encryption ; identifying key risks / issues related to DB migration and managing the same with appropriate mitigation plans.

Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.

Should have good knowledge on ITIL (Problem, Change and Incident Management process)

Additional Information:

(Team size, direct reports, key deliverables, unique selling points, additional qualifications, team culture etc.)

Need lead team of 8 offshore DBAs and guide them for successful IT operations.

Analyze, plan, and develop requirements and standards in reference to DB EOL & PCI projects.

Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones.

Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
