Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Robert Half is working exclusively with a leading financial services company that seeks an Accounting Manager with a strong background in revenue recognition. This individual will play a critical role in managing an area of responsibility, focusing primarily on identifying, measuring, and reporting financial information.
Job Description:
Our client is looking for a highly detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with a deep understanding of accounting principles and extensive experience in revenue recognition, specifically ASC 606 standards. The candidate will ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
As an Accounting Manager, the candidate should have strong data skills as the position involves heavy data management and analysis. Prior experience with PowerBI or Tableau is highly desired, as these will be used routinely in this position.
Responsibilities:
Setting up and managing processes related to revenue recognition as per ASC 606 standards.
Compile and analyze financial reports and find discrepancies that require immediate attention.
Monitor all financial data and recommend solutions to significant problems.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Coordinate with the finance team to complete budgeting and forecasting in time.
Monitor accounting entries, validate the financial data and report any discrepancy.
Ensure statutory compliances at all stages of financial transactions and reporting.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ASC 606.
Proven experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or similar data management tools preferred.
