Our Southern Tier, NY region is searching for a water/wastewater engineer looking to grow their career and build a business service line. The successful candidate will have the ability to call Binghamton or Elmira their home office.
Reporting to the Southern Tier Regional Team leader, this position will have the responsibility to develop and manage a significant portfolio of professional engineering services with a focus on process water and wastewater projects. The Team Leader will provide direct management and supervision of resources and assignments and be responsible for supporting public and private sector markets.

Duties
Business development and marketing
Preparing proposals
Client management
Project management
Assist Group Leaders with work assignments, scheduling and quality control
Interface and establish rapport with clients and approval agencies
Become actively involved with local, state and/or national professional associations
Work with Regional Civil Leader to achieve financial and business development goals
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Current licensed registered Professional Engineer (PE) in NY and/or PA, or the ability to become licensed in NY and/or PA within one (1) year of employment
15+ years’ experience providing municipal engineering services
Experience in staff management
A thorough knowledge of our industry (with NYS and PA experience preferred) and regulatory programs
History of developing good working relationships with municipal, industrial, and/or institutional clients
Proven critical thinking skills with the ability to devise and implement processes and strategies to resolve complex issues.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communications, and analytical/critical thinking skills are essential.
AutoCAD competency desirable
