At Client Biomedical Research, the Diseases of Aging and Regenerative medicine group (DARe) is focused on elucidating and targeting the molecular mechanisms underlying diseases of aging and developing potential regenerative pharmacological interventions that restore tissue integrity and function.
The intern candidate will join the DARe San Diego team to support drug discovery biology efforts in neurodegenerative diseases.
This internship will be fully in-person.
Responsibilities:
" The candidate will work in parallel with the biology team to develop Client assays for investigating neural cell biology.
Minimum Requirements:
" Experience with sterile cell culture technique
" Experience with scientific illustration
" Two years of undergraduate training in Neuroscience
" Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
" Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; and to work in a diverse and
changing environment
" Candidate must be currently enrolled in a US accredited degree-granting college or university
" Candidate must be available June-August 2024.
