We are seeking a highly experienced Optical Test Engineering Team Lead to lead the testing and validation of high-performance optical devices based on our Thin-Film Lithium Niobate (TFLN) technology for all phases of development and manufacturing. In this position you will be primarily responsible for:

Team Leadership
 •  Grow and lead a team of engineers responsible for testing and validating TFLN-based photonic integrated circuits.
 •  Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to team members.
 •  Ensure that all test developments follow a disciplined engineering process.
 •  Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, fabrication, and quality assurance.

Test Strategy and Planning
 •  Manage the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of testing procedures.
 •  Develop and execute test strategies considering device-level testing, functional testing, and reliability testing.
 •  Define test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
 •  Provide test forecasts and identifies test lab needs for future projects.
 •  Lead the allocation of test engineering resources to programs and ensure alignment with project goals and customer requirements.
 •  Responsible for specifying, procuring, organizing, and maintaining test equipment.

Functional Testing
 •  Evaluate individual components assessing their characteristics, performance, and key functionalities to ensure they meet design specifications, including EVT, DVT, PVT.
 •  Establish wafer level and chip level automated test infrastructure (WAT, wKGD).
 •  Establish and manage test data acquisition and analytics.
 •  Customize functional tests based on specific applications.

Reliability Testing
 •  Validate device performance under various environmental conditions and accelerated life testing to predict long-term reliability according to industry standards and work with other functional team members to address any reliability issues.

Collaboration and Communication
 •  Work closely with design engineers, process engineers, and product managers.
 •  Communicate test results, progress, and challenges to stakeholders.
 •  Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

This position requires:

 •  MS or PhD degree in Physics, Electrical engineering, or a related field
 •  7+ years of experience with component testing and evaluation.
 •  Experience with high-speed RF characterization tools and methods and optical testing.
 •  Proficiency in optical testing techniques, equipment, and measurement tools.
 •  Hands-on experience with coherent communication systems and link testing is desirable
 •  Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and design principles.
 •  Familiarity with DVT/EVT/PVT validation frameworks.
 •  Ability to analyze measurement data to extract key device performance features.
 •  Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
 •  Experience with programming for test automation.
 •  Proficient in working with large datasets and statistical analysis tools.
 •  Strategic thinking and strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
 •  Leadership, team building, and mentoring skills
 •  Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
 •  This is an on-site role.
