Litigation Legal Assistant

Robert Half has partnered with a national law firm in Las Vegas on the search for a 2+ years’ Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team on a direct-hire basis. The primary responsibility of this candidate will be to provide legal and administrative support to attorneys and paralegals in the litigation practice group. Qualified candidates should have 2+ years of experiencing with court filings in Nevada state and federal courts. This position requires the ability to work independently, to maintain confidentiality, and to work for multiple attorneys and paralegals on a daily basis. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 •  eFile legal correspondence with Nevada state and federal courts
 •  Provide legal administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
 •  Manage attorney calendars
 •  Schedule meetings and arrange meeting space when necessary
 •  Coordinate travel arrangements and respective travel changes; expense report management
 •  Prepare, organize, and maintain documents and filings
 •  File management – electronic and paper
 •  Other responsibilities as assigned

Experience with FileSite/WorkSite or other law firm document management system preferred. Once training has been completed, this will be a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days remote. Our client does offer a competitive compensation and benefits package.

 •  Organizing and tracking files for important transactions or case documents, including pleadings and voluminous discovery documents; creating and maintaining a case-management database
 •  Experience assisting lawyers in preparing for transactional closings, depositions, hearings, trials and conferences; completing many administrative tasks, including, working on individual cases or transactions
 •  Investigating the factual evidence of a transaction or case and preparing exhibits, charts and diagrams to display information
 •  Foundational knowledge in Calendar Management
 •  Good understanding of legal files
 •  Complex Litigation experience highly preferred
 •  Adeptness in FileSite
 •  Court Filings experience desired
 •  General familiarity with Calendaring
 •  Earlier work involving state courts
 •  Experience with Arranging Travel
 •  Background working with federal courts
 •  Practical knowledge of Civil Procedure
 •  Proficiency in Commercial Litigation
 •  Previous experience working with document production
 •  Command of Civil Litigation
 •  Demonstrated knowledge of bate stamps
 •  2+ years of relevant experience
 •  Drafting legal court documents, such as pleadings, motions, affidavits and subpoenas; transactional documents, such as trusts, wills, contracts and real estate leases; and closing documents
 •  Conducting routine discovery
